A note from the editor

As this academic year comes to a close, I would like to extend a huge thank you to the students who have worked so hard to make The Becket Beacon such a success.

This team did not simply contribute to an existing newspaper;

they created it. From developing the concept and choosing the name The Becket Beacon to writing articles, conducting interviews and building the publication from the ground up, they have shown remarkable dedication, creativity and commitment throughout the year.

Starting something new is never easy, but this group embraced the challenge and established a newspaper that is on its way to becoming a valued part of our school community. Their hard work has laid strong foundations for future teams to build upon.

As they move on to Year 13, I would like to thank them once again for everything they have achieved and wish them the very best for the year ahead. I look forward to welcoming the next generation of Becket Beacon journalists and seeing where they take the newspaper next.
